Types of sheet materials

Plywood:

Layers of wood veneers glued together, offering strength and durability.

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard):

Compressed wood fibres with resin, providing a smooth surface for finishes.

Particleboard (Chipboard):

Wood particles bonded with resin, often used for furniture and cabinetry.

OSB (Oriented Strand Board):

Engineered wood panel with strands of wood in layers, suitable for structural applications.

Hardboard:

Compressed wood fibres with steam and pressure, used for paneling and furniture.

LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber):

Layers of veneer bonded with adhesives, forming a strong and stable structural material.

MDO (Medium Density Overlay):

Plywood with a resin-impregnated fibre overlay, enhancing surface durability.

Each type has unique characteristics, making them suitable for various applications in construction and woodworking.
